When is the best time to book a newborn photography session?

When should we contact you for booking our newborn photography session? When is the best time to book? I get asked this question a lot! My preference of course is the earlier the better and here is why. The earlier you book me, the better plan we can both be.

This gives you time to possibly meet me in person- think of it as touring the hospital nursery or meeting your ob-gyn. I am going to handle your newborn pretty soon after you give birth. It would be nice to meet each other. If we don’t, please rest assured I am very comfortable handling newborns. You can learn all about me on my me page!

You can tour my Charlottesville studio! It is like shopping for all the baby things! Only this time, we are planning the colors and style of your newborn session. It’s kind of exciting. But don’t worry, there is no pressure if that is not your thing OR you are a late booker, we can do it all through email too.

Lately, with covid, I went from seeing almost all clients booking me before their newborn arrived at almost all clients messaging me saying their baby has arrived. I honestly do my best to fit clients in because I would hate for anyone to miss out on their newborn portraits! So really, reach out to me when you are ready!
