~Sadie~ Charlottesville Pet Photographer

As many of you know, I am a newborn photographer but when my sweet friend Lindsay (yes the one who is amazing and I am lucky enough to have as a friend and assistant for many of my sessions) asked me to photograph her doodle…how could I say no? She wanted to make a calendar for her sister’s birthday of Sadie dressed for each and every month of the year. I have to say, sometimes it’s just fun to step outside of my own box and try something new. This was a blast. I don’t recall laughing this hard at a session in a really long time. (sadly it was at Sadie’s expense and I think even my own dog sort of felt bad for Sadie as she looked on from beyond the studio doors). Everyone who has seen her photos or the calendar has asked, did she really sit there and let you guys dress her up? The answer is YES, she was the perfect model (if not slightly embarrassed). No, we did not have to heat the room to pulse-raising temperatures, nor did we have to drug her with milk, although there was plenty of cheese to be had. Sadie was the perfect model and I am the proud owner of a copy of her calendar and if I were a pet photographer, there would be a large framed canvas of her somewhere in my studio….. Lindsay, I love you!! And Sadie, your photos bring a huge smile to my face.. not sure how we are going to top this one next year. Here are a few of my favorites…Love this session?
