Newborn Charlottesville Photographer Model Call Yasmina

I recently did a model call in Charlottesville and Richmond, looking for a newborn baby 14 days or less to come into the studio for some free prints.

Yasmina’s mom responded to the call (I photographed her adorable twin siblings last year for their parents) so it as perfect to be able to offer newborn portraits of this gorgeous baby to her parents. My model calls are generally for trying new props the studio has received or for learning a new technique (as it was in this case).   In some cases we have models in to teach new photography students lighting.

Yasmina had the most stunning thick hair ever on a newborn, it was almost a shame to cover it with a bonnet at times.  She had the longest lashes and the prettiest lips.  This baby was so incredibly calm, letting me pose her, move her and transition her to each prop set up. She barely made a fuss.  I photographed this adorable baby in both a bucket (new) and a basket (also new) and in her mother’s arms.  We keep it warm in the studio and make sure their tummy’s are full to ensure their cooperation and Yasmina rocked her newborn session.

I know for a fact her mother and father adore her newborn images and will treasure them forever.  There is no greater honor then being trusted with a precious infant in the first days of their lives, capturing memories to last a lifetime.
