This season is all about making memories. ❤️

When the kids were younger, we used to drive around and check out the tacky lights in Richmond. In recent years, we’ve started visiting the lights at the Boar's Head Inn instead—it’s local, festive, and everything is all in one place!

Advent calendars are a must in our house because everyone loves the daily countdown. 🎁

We’ve also tried a few other traditions over the years (some more successful than others):

The Elf on the Shelf? He’s officially retired. Let’s just say he had a habit of napping in the same spot for days.

Cookie baking? Not my strength. Precise measurements and decorating aren’t my thing, and my cookies often turn out dry and overcooked. But I do love eating cookies that others bake! 🍪😄

What to Expect at Your Newborn Session with Me! 🍼✨

Let’s be real: newborn sessions are a little unpredictable, but that’s what makes them special (and fun!). Here’s a glimpse of what’s bound to happen when you step into my studio:

💩 Yes, your baby will probably poop or pee. On me, on you, or maybe on one of my props. And guess what? That’s completely NORMAL. I’m ready for it with extra wipes, blankets, and zero judgment. It’s all part of the experience!

🔥 It’ll feel warm—like a cozy day at the beach. Babies love a warm, snuggly environment, so the studio is kept toasty for their comfort. Don’t hesitate to step out, grab some water, or cool off if you need to.

🧘‍♀️ You might arrive stressed but leave feeling grateful. I know getting out the door with a newborn can be an Olympic event. But once we start capturing those sweet moments—tiny toes, yawns, and cuddles—you’ll realize it was all worth it.
