I know the first thing a lot of parents do before I know the first thing a lot of parents do before they even reach out is try to guess the price - and then talk themselves out of it before they ever ask.

I want you to ask.

I offer payment plans because this kind of documentation should not feel financially out of reach. I never want cost to be the reason a season goes unrecorded.

If you have a baby coming or a milestone you don't want to miss, reach out. Let's figure it out together.
You don't have to have everything figured out to r You don't have to have everything figured out to reach out.

You don't need to know exactly what you want, or have a date locked in, or be ready to book tomorrow.

A lot of my favorite client relationships started with someone just saying 'I'm not sure where to start.'

That is a perfectly fine place to begin. Send me a message and let's talk.
Here is what she said, in her own words: 'I canno Here is what she said, in her own words:

'I cannot imagine getting my children's newborn and milestone photographs done by anyone other than Angela. Her work is exquisite and the process is wonderful. She is so sweet and attentive and I truly feel like I'm catching up with a friend while she works her magic. I cannot recommend her enough. If you have a baby or toddler and want the best photos money can buy, Angela is who you want.'

Three babies. Six sessions. Years of showing up.

I don't take words like that lightly.
Choosing who gets to photograph your baby in the f Choosing who gets to photograph your baby in the first two weeks of their life is not a small decision.

You're inviting someone into a moment that is raw and tender and deeply personal. You're trusting them with a brand new human and with the images you'll look back on for the rest of your life.

That kind of trust isn't something I take lightly.

It's actually why so much of what I do happens before anyone ever steps into the studio. The conversations, the questions I ask, the information I share ahead of time - it's all part of making sure you feel settled before we even begin.

If you're researching photographers right now, I'd love to be one of the conversations you have. No obligation. Just a chance to connect.
If you're in the process of choosing a newborn pho If you're in the process of choosing a newborn photographer, here are a few things actually worth asking about:

Does the studio have a warm environment prepared specifically for newborn sessions?

How does the photographer handle composite or supported poses - and can they explain what spotting means?

What happens if a baby is uncomfortable or resistant to a pose?

How do they monitor breathing and skin color during the session?

These aren't gotcha questions. Any photographer who has been doing this well for a long time will answer them without hesitation.

What you're listening for is confidence without defensiveness, and specifics instead of vague reassurances.

You should feel like you understand exactly what happens in that room before you ever walk into it.
A lot of parents come into a newborn session with A lot of parents come into a newborn session with a list of poses they want.

I understand that. You've been looking at images for months. You know what you love.

But here's what I've learned over 15 years of doing this: the pose doesn't lead the session. The baby does.

Some babies love being curled up tight. Some refuse it entirely and just want to stretch out. Some are alert and wide-eyed the whole time. Some sleep so deeply you could practically set them on a shelf.

Each of those babies can have a beautiful session. But only if the photographer is willing to let go of the list and follow the baby instead.

Skipping a pose isn't a failure. It's experience. It means someone is paying more attention to your baby than to the shot they had planned.

Consider yourself warned. The longer you hang arou Consider yourself warned. The longer you hang around here the harder it gets to convince yourself you can wait, lose the baby weight, leave the house. Etc before these moments are worth documenting. Your newborn is only this small right now. And you, exactly as you are in this season, are exactly who belongs in these photos.
That’s the belief I’m apparently out here planting. No apologies.
