Hi, I’m Angela. I professionally shush babies for a living and get irrationally excited about perfectly curled toes.

Let’s not sugarcoat this.

I willingly work in a studio that’s basically a baby sauna. I have more swaddles than Target and will spend 15 minutes adjusting one tiny finger like it holds the keys to world peace — because obviously, it does.

I’ve been peed on, pooped on, and sneezed on — sometimes all in one session — and I still call it a great day. I treat a sleepy yawn like it deserves its own Oscar, and yes, I will scream internally (and sometimes externally) when your baby nails a pose.

I’ll lay on the floor in some kind of yoga-meets-midlife-crisis position, whispering sweet nothings to a 1 year old- like I’m trying to negotiate with a tiny dictator.

My camera costs more than my car. My wrap-folding technique could be taught at Harvard. And if I see one wrinkle in the background fabric, I will lose sleep over it.

But the final images? Pure magic. Because behind all the chaos is someone who loves every wild, weird, hilarious second of it — and believes your baby’s story deserves to be captured perfectly.

5 Weird (But True!) Things I Use During Newborn Sessions 🍼📸😄

Newborn sessions may look soft, serene, and sweet—but behind the scenes? It’s a creative jungle gym of unexpected tools and tricks. Here are some of the weirdest (but most effective) things I use in my studio:

A dog bed—with legs.
That metal-framed “bed” in your photos? Originally made for dogs! It’s the perfect size and shape for cozy flat-lay poses and blanket setups.

A toothbrush.
Not for teeth—this little tool smooths out baby fuzz and tiny flyaways. It’s my go-to for that polished, angelic look in close-ups.

A coffee table.
Those layered, textured blanket poses you love? They’re usually built right on top of a coffee table. It’s the perfect posing platform for baby perfection.

A cat scratcher.
Hidden under rugs to help support baby in upright poses. It’s round, firm, and exactly what I need to get that beautiful curl and support—no cats involved.

Puppy pads.
Everywhere. Under blankets, props, wraps—you name it. Babies are adorable and unpredictable, and puppy pads save the day (and the props)!

Newborn photography is 10% baby cuddling, 20% camera work, and 70% creative prop engineering. 😆
