Some families come to me already feeling behind be Some families come to me already feeling behind before they've even booked.

The NICU stay ran longer than expected. The due date has already passed. The newborn window feels like it closed without them.

None of that is true, and I'll explain exactly why - but first, just know this: if you're a NICU family reading this and wondering if it's too late, it isn't.

Reach out. That's the only step you need to take right now.
The Dad Who Didn't Want Pictures It happens almos The Dad Who Didn't Want Pictures

It happens almost every week.

Dad walks in carrying the diaper bag.

"I'll just do whatever she tells me."

He smiles politely.

Then I hand him his baby.

Everything changes.

The way he looks down.

The forehead kiss he didn't know I caught.

The tiny smile when those little fingers wrap around his.

I've learned over the years that dads don't usually love having their picture taken.

They just love their babies.

And somehow...that always shows.
One Day… One day your newborn will be taller th One Day...

One day your newborn will be taller than you.

You'll forget just how tiny they were against your chest.

How their feet fit in the palm of your hand.

How they curled up so perfectly while they slept.

Photographs aren't just about remembering what your baby looked like.

They're about remembering what this season of life felt like.

Can we all agree that the best photos almost never Can we all agree that the best photos almost never happen when everyone is looking at the camera?

The magic usually happens somewhere between the toddler running away, Dad pretending he doesn't like photos (but secretly crushing it), Mom fixing everyone's hair, and me making the weirdest animal noises you've ever heard.

Spoiler alert: It always comes together.

So if you're worried your family is "too wild" for photos... I promise I've seen it all, and those are usually my favorite sessions.
Some babies just make my job entirely too easy. M Some babies just make my job entirely too easy.

Meet my sweet little niece. She may be related to me, but I promise this smile wasn't part of the family discount.

Watching her personality come out over the past year has been one of my favorite things to photograph. The gummy smiles, the tiny teeth, the little hand in her mouth... these are the moments that disappear before you realize they're gone.

One of the biggest things I hear from parents is, "I wish I had taken more pictures when they were little."

This is your reminder.

If your baby is sitting independently but isn't quite on the move yet, this is one of my favorite ages to photograph.

Sitter sessions for fall are now booking. If you've been thinking about capturing this stage, send me a message before it's gone.
"My Baby Is Already Two Weeks Old. Is It Too Late? "My Baby Is Already Two Weeks Old. Is It Too Late?"

I hear this question all the time, and the answer is almost always...no!

While I love photographing babies between 7-21 days old because they're typically sleepier and curl up naturally, I've photographed babies at 4, 6, and even 8 weeks old.

Your gallery may look a little different, but beautiful? Absolutely.

If you're wondering whether it's too late, reach out. I'd much rather photograph your baby a little later than have you miss this stage completely.
The One Woman Show People are always surprised wh The One Woman Show

People are always surprised when they find out it's just...me.

When you email, you're talking to me.

When you call, I answer.

When you walk into the studio, I'm the one fluffing blankets, warming the room, soothing your baby, taking the pictures, editing every image, answering emails after dinner, packing print orders, updating my website, paying taxes, and somehow remembering to feed the dog.

There isn't a marketing department or an assistant behind the scenes.

It's just one person who loves babies and somehow turned that love into a career.

Some days it's exhausting.

Most days I can't believe I get to call this my job.
