From room temperature to hand placement to reading From room temperature to hand placement to reading baby’s cues, every detail in my studio is designed with safety first. That means: • Warm, calm environment • Slow transitions between poses • Constant head & neck support • Breaks whenever baby needs them The goal is never to “get the shot.” The goal is a comfortable baby — beautiful images follow naturally. Newborns don’t need to be placed into positions—th Newborns don’t need to be placed into positions—they need to be supported into them. During every session: • Baby’s airway is my top priority • Head and neck are supported at all times • Poses are adapted to the baby (not the other way around) • Some poses are skipped entirely if baby says “no” Beautiful images should never come at the expense of safety—and they don’t have to. If you’re choosing a newborn photographer, ask about safety training, spotters, and experience. A safe newborn photo doesn’t happen by accident. A safe newborn photo doesn’t happen by accident. It’s: ✔️ Hands-on support ✔️ Slow, intentional posing ✔️ Constant monitoring of baby’s breathing, color, and comfort ✔️ Knowing when not to push for a pose Some images you see online are actually composites—multiple photos blended together so baby is supported the entire time. Others should never be attempted at all. As a former NICU nurse and newborn photographer, safety is always the priority—every baby, every session. If you’re expecting, I encourage you to ask any photographer: 👉 How do you keep baby supported? 👉 What training do you have in newborn safety? 👉 What poses do you avoid?
