Ashley reached out to me a little over a month ago wanting to do a non-traditional cake smash for Baby Collins. We did a taco fiesta for her oldest daughter so something as fun for Collins was definitely on the table. When she said a donut smash with floral background, I was all in. I love thinking outside the box. I also love celebrating with something other than cake if babies have much-loved food. Think pancakes, waffles, tacos, spaghetti’s, fruit… really anything that they love.. possibly a little over the top.

For this session, my husband and I drove to Richmond to visit Hobby Lobby. While there, I bought the wooden hoops and some greenery for this session. I decorated them, text Ashley to see what she thought. Fixed a few things and walked away with the hoops you see in these photos. I couldn’t have asked for more perfection.
