mine at the air & space museum ~ Virginia Family Photographer~

My husband had a spontaneous idea a few weeks ago to take the family on a 2 hour drive to the Udvar Hazy Museum up in Chantilly Virginia. Since one of my kids is a fact nut (that would be our 12 year old) and the other just likes “hewl-e-coptas” it made for a super fun day for all.

Our day would not have started off right if my oldest hadnt resisted the camera at least one time.

My youngest first glimpse off the hundreds of aircraft in the building.  Its breathtaking to walk up to some of these airplanes and really get a glimpse of how big they are.

Some of my husbands favorite shots from the day.

Yes, she always has this impressed look on her face when I am nearby with a camera.

Caylyn found this awesome case full of cameras used in space or on air-crafts…

Tell me this one doent make you think twice?

Anyone who knows us, knows about Caylyns phone booth “obsession”.

The boys ran off and left us girls alone. I proceeded to educate Caylyn on my knowledge of airplanes and air crafts. I received a lot of eye rolling and disappearing. Seriously, they look like they are held together by duct tape and some made of tin foil..

The highlight of the day was the green screen the boys took photos in front of.  We found Gavin curled up in bed the other night, lovie in one hand and the photo of him and his daddy in their space suits gripped in the other. Worth every penny and the horrible photoshop job lol.

and last, more of our favorites from the day.
