Here are some frequently asked questions about a newborn photography studio session’s with Angela McNaul Photography.

  1. Where is your newborn photography studio located?  The google map says Charlottesville. A) My studio has a Charlottesville address but is located just outside of Crozet, across the street from the Harris Teeter. It’s a beautiful studio with a lobby and photography room.
  2. How many images will we get to look at and choose from when you are complete with our session? A) For a full family newborn photography session, I will choose and edit between 50-60 images from your session. This does not include black and white copies. For a newborn only session, there will be 30-40 fully edited images to look and choose from.
  3. My parents are in town, we would love them to take part in our newborn session, is this possible? A) Absolutely. There is a $50 fee per person for any individual who is not an immediate family member of the newborn to participate in their newborn photography session, but family members are welcome with advance notice.
  4. Do you photograph other things other than newborns? A)YES! Things I do not offer are weddings, senior photos and extended family sessions. I can definitely offer recommendations but have found over the years this is not where my heart or talent lies.  I offer maternity photography and baby photography along with studio portraits of children. Contact me here for more information.
  5. What color backdrop is that in your photographs for the parent poses? A) I use savage thunder grey for my parent poses when parents wear black. It photographs really dark because I use 90 degree lighting with my studio lights. I love how it makes my newborn parents pop in the photos.
